My Philosophy about the art of violin playing

Developing necessary motor skills that are required for playing the violin with good rhythm, in tune

and with the ability to correctly express various technical styles isn't an easiest of activities which especially in the case of young children can appear tricky if not near impossible to achieve.

However, these are necessary for a steady development of an understanding and respect for this phenomenal instrument. There is an absolute need for ability to read and interpret music, so to master the coordination of the left-hand fingers with movements of the right hand, being the  bow hand, there must exist a special kind of awareness in the brain, allowing for an immense focus, so all this body-mind correlation can function in a coherent and an "organised" way.

Apart from all this, of course, there is a common understanding that music can shift mood, manage stress-induced agitation, stimulate positive interactions, facilitate cognitive function, coordinate motor movements and improve long-term memory.

It is therefore up to the teacher to create a positive relationship with the student to if not light up the fire-like desire within them, to at least create enough of an interest in those early stages of learning, until such time comes when students develop there own "want" to keep going, whether for professional reasons in mind, or just for fun.
